My name is Cas Haagen. I taught myself how to program when I was 13 years old because I have a general interest in trying to understand how things work.
Obstacles in programming are a challenge for me, they don't keep me from going on.
My first step in programming was writing scripts for bots in Java.
I enjoyed programming so much that I started to try out other things with programming, such as fiddling around in "garry's mod" (which is a sandbox game) by making small games such as Minesweeper, Tick Tack Toe and Bomberman.
I also did some modding in Minecraft.
Because I knew I had to be able to program in c++ for school I taught myself how to use this language by following online tutorials.
Programming became my passion and I decided to make my career out of it. In 2012 I went to college at NHTV in Breda, studying "International Game Design and Architecture" and graduated in 2019.
At school I worked on a lot of projects with teams of up to 25 people from different disciplines.
The intention of these projects was to make complicated games.
Since February 2019 I work as a Game Developer at Gamious where I am working on the games Turmoil and Lake.
